It’s great to use folders and binders to keep everything organized.  I have folders for new decorating ideas with paint chips and fabric samples; recipes and baking tips; garden plans and seed packets; inspiration for art and sewing.

A simple project to spruce up your office or kitchen folders is to cover your plain manila folders with pretty fabrics.

Items needed:

Spray Glue

Scissors or rotary cutter

Optional:  Buttons, lace, trim, ribbon, felt designs, beads, embellishments

Easy Directions:

Press your fabric.  Spray glue two pieces of fabric to the outside of the folder.  Let it dry.  Trim the excess fabric.  I used a rotary cutter, but scissors would be just fine.

Use more than one fabric and trim with ribbons.

Embellish with laces, buttons or other trims.

Coordinate your fabrics with your wall paints, curtains, pillow colors or artwork in the room.

These folders can easily color coordinate with recipes, seasonal tasks, etc.
